Elves: A race which came to the dormant world of Aselia from another world, and brought a cutting from the original World Tree with them. Their appearance differs from humans in their sharper features, and slightly pointed ears. They live for a very long time, nearing two thousand years, and are more than capable at mastering the magical artes.
Humans: The most common race in the world of Aselia, the human species has proven itself quite inventive. Though their lifespan is limited to an average of under one hundred years, and they are incapable of direct use of magic, they have proven skilled in the use and development, of magi-technology, even managing to find ways of allowing a degree of magic use to be gifted to themselves.
Half-Elves: Half-elves are the descendants of Elven and Human parents. Commonly hated for this mixed birth, they are an oppressed race. Perhaps it is caused by fear, or jealousy of their abilities. Sharing an only slightly shorter lifespan than the elves, Half-elves also retain mastery over magical talents.
Dwarves: A tough race, who enjoy living underground. There seem to be smaller numbers of dwarves than any other race. They appear shorter in stature and bearded, typically tending to ignore others. They seem to have an incredible ability to create tools, technology, and gadgets, skillfully manipulating whatever material they are working with. At this time, it is believed that dwarves cannot perform magic naturally.
