[Solomon Guidaire]

Solomon Guidaire, "Lord of the Knowledge of Sylvarant's past", "Master of Obscure Pieces of Trivia", and city tour guide, had awoke early that morning, gone through his usual practice of fixing a bit of tea, drinking half of it while bringing himself to full alertness, and dumping the rest down the drain. Today though, was to be a special day, at least for a certain, small group of people. This group was made up of children like him, who were born of two worlds. Tethe'alla, and Sylvarant. It was a hard life for them, hailed as heroes by the few due to their heritage, but mostly just hated, treated almost as badly as half-elves.

Throughout the week, Sol would go to his "class", ranging from ten to sixteen years of age, and teach about Sylvarant's history, both ancient, and modern. Today though, he had a special surprise for them. Solomon had managed to secure a favor from Deek, a dwarven weaponsmith who catered to the high level consumers. The favor he'd secured was permission for Sol to bring his class for a demonstration of the various arms in the shop. Each of Deek's weapons was a work of art, beautifully made, and, typically, a replica of a piece from a certain time period. Never the less, every piece of equipment that the old dwarf made was fully battle ready.

Now, he led them down the half hour walk to the shop, quizzing them about various locations on the way.

"What's that fountain dedicated to?" Sol was speaking loud enough for even those on the other side of the street to hear him.

"I know! The peace agreement with Triet, which still stands to this day. We trade them the parts that they use for their moisture collectors, for the firecrystals mined from their mountains." Tara, a twelve year-old girl answered, grinning that she had been the first to answer.

"Good" Sol answered back, smiling at her. These kids would have to be the best they could so they could prove that their lives could have value to the world. Otherwise, they may never get the chance "Can you tell me where the firecrystals go from here?"

Tara looked at a loss, so Isaac, the oldest at sixteen, straightened his cap, and took over for her. "Firecrystals, or 'Efreet's Rubies' as they are sometimes called, make an excellent source of heat, when charged correctly, and last a long time before they must be recharged. They are shipped north, to the frozen town of Arlon. They are a restricted substance here, where they are not necessary. This is because when handled incorrectly, the self-combust"

"And Explode!!!" The youngest, Bennie, at ten, was the one who felt the need for this clarification.

Solomon smiled and ruffled the Ben's hair. "Well done, all of you. Not many people are aware of our trade deals these days.... And That structure over there, what about it!?" Sol pointed to another building.

Isaac looked at it, and squinted. "That's...." He was really beginning to look perplexed. At last Solomon decided to rescue him from his predicament.

"Hahah, that building isn't dedicated to anything. That's our destination: Deek's Forge."

[Solomon Guidaire]

"Alright. Before we go in, let me remind you that this is a special case. Be on your best behavior. No touching things unless they are handed to you. No shouting, or roughhousing. If we do well, we may be invited back."

There was a bit of grumbling, mostly complaining about why Solomon still said that. These students were pros. They only broke the rules sometimes.

They were quickly confronted by a short, stocky, black-bearded man. He wore a pair of round spectacles, had goggles stuck back to his forehead, and wore a pair of well fitted work gloves. "Ah! Here ye be. I was beginning to be wonderin' if you'd ever arrive!" He said in a rough, sort of rolling voice. The voice was loud enough to cover for all the noise the students could have made, and then some. It was the dwarf, Deek.

"Well, I can't very well miss the chance, after you cleared this timeslot for us." Solomon said to his friend. As Sol's interest had turned towards the ancient civilizations, he'd often found himself visiting the smith. They'd talk about the various different applications of all sorts of old weapons, dream up ways to improve the old designs... He'd even let Sol take a crack at forging an old style blade. Unfortunately, it had ended in a blade with several fratures running up and down it. They'd made fun out of it, saying that it was designed to explode on impact, and shatter into the enemy. The wearing of safety glasses was recommended during use.

"Oh... About that..." Deek lowered his voice from it's high volume to something more approximating a normal voice. "Someone be in unnanounced. It's one of..." He made a thumbs up gesture, and jerked it upwards a few times. "those people." His face showed slight anxiety, but mostly excitement.

"A noble?" Sol asked. He didn't understand. These kinds of visitors were not unheard of for someone of Deek's skill.

"Higher. Try, one of th' royal family." The excitement was obvious on his face now.

"Deek, that's great! With your skills I'm sure that they'll want to come here for all of their equipment... Should we leave and come back later?"

"Oh, no no no. He's only interested in the equipment in the show room. As long as you stay quiet, and don't venture out of the area you 'er planning on showin'. Now, I've got to get back to th-"

Solomon caught the quick dwarf on the arm. "Where's the model I left here?"

"Ah, right 'round the corner to the store room. Ya'know the one."

"Sol? does this change our plans?" unlike the rest, who were looking around, pressing there noses against display cases and such, Isaac had decided to stay and listen to the talk that was going on.

"Not much, Isaac. There weren't really any plans to leave this room." There had been a few other plans. Ones that had involved going into the showroom, and giving some demonstrations, but Sol didn't feel like mentioning that now that they wouldn't be able to follow through. "Come on. I've got things to show all of you."

[Kohle]

He stood quietly as the man he was guard was... ah... what's did the nobles call it again? 'Letting their opinion and disdain known for all to hear, so it may be quickly addressed?' A lesser man might call it complaining, or a tantrum, but such words are considered incredibly rude to royalty. Still, it was not Kohle's place to say a word. Criticism or otherwise, and it was especially out of place for a half-elf like him. No matter what he was charged to do, so he just stood their quietly and watched with slight amusement behind his helmet.

"Hrm, impressive. But I need more then impressive you see. I need proof. They look nice, but how am I sure they aren't just some charlatan's trick to try to sell us fake weapons?" His lordship protested, looking over a nice two-handed broadsword.

"Ah, never will I ever be doing such a thin'. You have mah word as a dwarf. " The dwarf said. "Dwarven Vow number 11: Lying is the first step down the path of thievery. A dwarf nev'r lies about his work."

The man had a wide grin. "Do you KNOW who I am? I'm Baron Redfield. Nephew to the king." The noble scoffed. "I know... How about... a test?" He added with a slight smile.

"Test?" The dwarf asked.

"Yes... I'll have one of my men test your weapon. Choose a champion to wield this blade. I want to see it's use with my own eyes. If I deem it worthy of being used by me, I'll buy it along with a hefty bonus." The baron turned, his smile remaining. His eyes grew slightly wild as he eyed the two handed blade greedily. Kohle was almost sure he was about to wring his hands with a dirty laugh and twirl a handlebar mustache at this rate. "But... if I deem it unworthy... well lets just say it'll be bad for business." He turned with a conniving gleam in his eye.

"Jes wait a minute righ' here!" The dwarf protested.

"Uh uh uh. I won't have no for an answer. Fetch your champion, be hasty now. I need to find the perfect weapon, I can't waste time." He turned to look right at the helmeted man. "He'll be my fighter. Kohle, front and center!"

"Yes sir." Kohle said promptly, responding to his client's demands.

"You shall decide if this sword is fitting to be my blade." He paced turning towards the dwarf and handing him the two handed blade. "Here, find someone fitting to be your champion. Your honor as a blacksmith is on the line." Ugh, it was always the barons with the bad attitudes. They had all the freedom of nobility, simply because they're family to the crown. The didn't even have the weight of responsibilities the other royals bore.

[Soule Kains]

Soule walked sown the street, pocketing the few coins he had just made for the day. It wasn't late yet, so he decided to stop by the blacksmith and see if he could do any work. Deek, the owner, treated him a bit more fairly than some other people he had worked for.

As Soule got nearer to the blacksmith, he could see that it was filled up with what looked to be students on a field trip.

Best not to go in, some people get angry seeing a known half-elf walking into stores they're visiting. I'll just wait outside if Deek needs me.

He sat down in the shade of the shop.

OoC: Uberly long post posted. That's what happenes when you try and close up a solo plot some, and then write your actual post. To those who don't feel like reading the whole thing, the bottom half is all that's necessary to read. lol

Solomon continued his rambling pattern of interesting, and sometimes not so interesting facts, to his class. "Now, this spear here, was designed to penetrate the Letharian shield technology. This mechanism, on the point was placed on the weapon to assist in latching onto, and disrupting the energy field which the shields used. Unfortunately for it's users, the Letharians soon made another jump in technology, a jump which used a new frequency of shield. One which, in fact, reflected back the magic charge that the spear released. This had painful repercussions for the spear fighter, as you can imagine. The technology was dropped, after a brief time trying to regain the advantage, as their attempts at the time largely involved increasing the power levels." He gave a look that said he didn't envy the ones using that technology, before moving on.

His small class wanted something more hands on, so... "This..." he said, picking up his wooden model of a large two-handed sword that he'd retrieved earlier, "This is a model of what eventually overcame the Letharian shields nearly two hundred years later." There was a bit of murmuring from the kids as he held it up to see. "Well, not quite identical. This is more of a ceremonial version, but the design is similar. The blades were made of a lighter material, but were coated in a few layers of pure mana. I'm no magician, so I can't grasp the details, but aparently this was enough to disrupt the shields, turning them into nearly useless scraps of metal."

Taking a moment to clear the space around him, he grasped his weapon model in his familiar grip. After all, this teacher didn't limit himself to information only. He actually enjoyed learning how to practice the use of the weapons he taught about. "This particular sword is, actually, not very useful in combat. It's so large that it can be difficult to control, and the handguard gets in the way. Never the less this guard can also make a dangerous tool for a practiced fighter"

He gave a few practiced swings of his sword, then went ahead with a full exhibition, twirling it, crossing it across his back, inverting the grip, and finally catching it after he tossed it in the air. Some of the students cheered a bit, and he made a small flourish, unintentionally knocking over a pile of shields with it. The cheering changed to laughter, and Sol instantly felt embarrassed. "Well, looks like your teacher needs to remember his rules about not rough-housing in the forge."

Just then Deek came bustling in, muttering to himself. He was trying to think of someone close enough that he could call to be his champ. Who would want to even try to fight with one of these old weapons? Sure they were fully functional, but most people immediately dismissed the old designs in favor of the new. Then his eyes fell on the young Solomon Guidaire. The lad knew nearly as much about antique designs as the forgemaster himself, and was a capable enough student of combat. There really wasn't any other choice anyway, as all of his other customers were to far away for this situation.

Grumbling one last time at Baron Redfield's games, he bustled up to Sol, and spun him around. "Oi! Solomon! I need ya, Lad. Th' good Baron wants a demonstration of m'wares, a trial by combat, and I thin' you're th' only one available ta serve. I want ya to go in there, and show them just what this sword is capable of."

The whole class watched, riveted, as Deek quickly removed Sol's wooden replica, from his grip, and replaced it with a finely crafted piece of shaped metal. Isaac found Sol's "Letharian Breaker" shoved into his hands, and seemed fairly excited about the whole thing, though not in the giddy way, like the others.

Solomon, however, was more bewildered. "What? Me fight? Deek, I think you' may have hit yourself with your own hammer."

Isaac broke his silence up till now, and began helping Deek usher Sol towards the door. "Sol, your the best choice. I doubt anyone else can match your knowledge about the ins and outs of these weapons. Get in there."

"Hey! I'm supposed to be in charge of you, not the other way around." The teacher/mentor growled out towards Isaac. "Alright, fine. I'm going. Just stay out of the way, and behave. Might as well turn this into a learning chance. Isaac, take charge of the students, and make sure they behave themselves, while this goes on."

Sol gave a quick, but aprehensive grin towards Tara and Bennie, before shouldering his weapon, and marching into the room. Deek followed inside, and Isaac did his best to shepherd the several others to an unobtrusive spot along the wall. Sol looked around at the area.

There was a large area in the center of the show room which was clear of space. It was normally used for practice, not duels, but it would suffice. Outside, he could see a few people moseying by, and even a man relaxing by a part of the building. Well, if he watched, he'd likely get an eyeful today.

His weapon was a two-hander of Delythan make, and a rather unremarkable design at that, oh this one was definitely gaudy enough, with the gold plated all over it, and the large ruby in the pommel, but it was under-sized for it's weight and the balance was heavy towards the blade. It's main redeeming features were that the blade had much more force, due to this weight, and the handle was extended for more leverage.

Knowing how nobles were, the first thing Sol did was give a low bow to the Baron. Normally, it was better to try to avoid trouble altogether, and this was probably the best way to do so.

"Here, he is, Your Excellency. Please watch closely. Young Master Sol is one of th' resident experts on antique weapon designs. He ought to prove quite interesting to watch."

Thanks Deek...No pressure, right? Sol thought to himself, before turning to face the one who aparently was to be his opponent. It was an armored man, and a rather intimidating one at that. The helmet blocked view of the man's face. The only thing that seemed odd to Sol was the weapon he was armed with. It was little more than a large, sharpened pole. How strange The Teacher-turned-gladiator took a moment to steady himself for the up and coming spar. Hopefully, the kids presence will stop anything truly gruesome from happening. I'm certainly not going that far.

"Ready when you are." Sol said to his partner, lifting his sword in salute, before dropping into a ready position.

[Kohle]

The dwarf left to go find this champion, but the Baron only tapped his foot impatiently and turned to his servant. "Kohle." He simply said, catching the half-elf's attention, turning to the man he was charged to protect.

"What is it master?" Kohle spoke swiftly, without a single wasted word. It was important to be prompt with nobility, they were ever so sensitive, especially to half-elf servants. He couldn't even count the amounts of times he's been beaten for insolence when it was simply a misunderstanding. It paid to just stay quiet at all times.

"I... don't want this battle to be over in a heartbeat you know subhuman." The man paced with a slight grin. He didn't really mean anything by calling him a subhuman, it was just part of his vocabulary. In fact, of all his half-elf servants, he seemed to enjoy Kohle the most. The again Kohle has saved that man's life more then once, so it was only natural. "I do so love a good show you know." Baron Redfield smiled widely as he looked at the elf, who was quite a bit taller then him. "Give me your spear."

Kohle nodded and handed over his spear. "Of course master." He didn't even question it, that lead to punishment.

"Good Kohle. Hrm..." He looked around for a moment. He saw what he was looking for, a training weapon for young spearmen to use. Wasn't quite a spear, more of a sharpened pole really. "Ah, that. Trash, grab it." He commanded a female half-elf servant who accompanied them. Her name was Alexis, but he'd never bother remembering. Especially when the catch all "Trash" and "Subhuman" were so much easier.

She hurried and fetched the pole and handed it to Redfield. "There we are." He took it and turned to Kohle. "Use this Kohle. And hold back if you please.. I want a good show. It's no fun if you finish this in moments." Kohle nodded. Redfield loved spectating fights, in fact he was buying a weapon to use his self so he can see even more fights. There's been more then one time when Kohle was commanded to fight with another person for his entertainment.

"As you wish master." Kohle nodded solemnly. Just as they finished with their little scene, a pair of people entered the room. It seemed that the Dwarf found his self a champion much quicker then expected.

"Perfect! Just on time." The baron laughed. He reached up and began to swirl a lock of blond hair around his finger with a slightly disturbing smile. "You're already making a good impression. I truly hope you live up to your praise Sol. There's incentives for... impressing me." He looked at the commoner, a human and a hopefully a good fighter. "Kohle, you may begin. Do put up a good fight now."

And with that small phrase, Kohle was off. He moved, though not as quickly as he could, and hurried with the spear in hand. He started off small, a simple lunge. If the boy had even the smallest shred of fighting skill, he'd be able to dodge or block the attack.

[Soule Kains]

"Ah? Looks like some entertainment... Guess I won't be bored after all." Soule stood up and watched the fight through the showcase. It was definitely the most interesting thing he had seen all day, but, the man with the sharpened pole... He might be good, but to give a handicap to the point where most of Deek's weapons could cut right through the wood, with someone who was strong enough, that might be a bit too much.

There it was: the beginning. The spearman lunged in, throwing a bland and predictable strike towards his target. Sol easily slipped aside and in closer to the target, and bringing the sword around as insurance. It was an almost lazy motion. Pressing the blade against the shaft of the pole, he made a vertical, downward, cutting motion, attempting to bounce the pole down to the ground, before he backed off a bit.

His job was to demonstrate the weapon's capabilities, and, while a good deal of that depended on the wielder, the sword itself had to be able to withstand the techniques. That was his purpose in this. I'll let him come to me again, and then I'll start showing the offensive capabilities.

Despite his success in avoiding the blow, or perhaps because of it, he couldn't help but feel that this fighter was going easy on him. He certainly hoped so, or he may be out of a job soon.

"Cmon Sol! You can do it!" It was Ben cheering for him. He was quickly hushed by Isaac. This was probably not the best place for them to draw attention to themselves.

[Kohle]

He dodged, and retaliated with a sloppy strike to his spear. If he hadn't been holding back, he could of picked apart quite a few holes in his stance and use of the blade. Still the boy had some skill, that much was obvious. From how he held the blade to the fact he reacted like he did showed that he wasn't just some random egghead. That means this ole half-elf could cut loose a bit more, which was always fun.

The spear shaft clanged to the ground, but Kohle swiftly ran the tip of the pole across the earth as it collided, taking the force of the impact off. There was, however, and annoying gash in the weapon that he couldn't help but sigh at. Now he'd need to be a bit more careful to make sure his weapon didn't take too many hits, it wasn't the steel lance he was used to.

He quickly shifted his grasp on the shaft, holding it backwards as he hopped back. He then twirled the wooden lance in his hand, so he was holding it normally once more. Both hands holding it with the point towards the earth. He looked over his target, scanning him up and down. He wasn't armored in the slightest, he'd need to be careful to not seriously injure him. Then again Alexis was well versed in healing artes, so maybe he could risk going a little wild...

He moved, quicker this time, making a feint to the right but then coming in from the left and thrusted the wooden lance towards the brown haired man, aiming at one of weaker points in his stance.

The man reacted in a way that was about as efficient as was possible without just flat out resisting the blow. He stepped back and prepared for a new assault. Something in his demeanor changed, and Sol noticed it.

The spearman, Kohle, Sol now remembered he'd been called, was looking him up and down. He felt like he was being picked to pieces by this man. He also got the feeling that this Kohle was going to make him work from now on. Sol did have one advantage that he could work with. His opponent was armored, and that would encumber him a bit, however little.... Actually, nevermind. That was not really an advantage at all.

In came the strike, and - Sol grimaced as he barely managed to avoid the blow through a combination of backwards footwork and blocking. I was right. He's gonna make me work now. His other sparring partners always seemed to get him there.

He'd been forced back by his opponent, but that didn't mean the fight was over. He tightened up his defences as best he could and fought to keep his muscles from tensing up. Energy could not move through a solid mass of muscle, so he needed to stay relaxed.

It was time to move in... or try. Spears lost their range advantage over swords in close quarters fighting. As he stepped in, Sol engaged his weapon against the spear. Didn't try to knock it aside. He merely held his weapon against it, while lunging around the tip. As long as he maintained contact, he knew exactly where the enemies weapon was, and could attempt to guide it to wherever he wanted. The only way to avoid this was to actually literally pull the weapons away, but during the separation, it could present a target.

[Kohle]

Hrm, interesting tactic. Moving in close to eliminate Kohle's range advantage. He was holding his wooden spear against the teacher's large and gaudy blade. He wasn't too concerned about his self, he dodged the thrusts the man was throwing out, but he was concerned over his weapon. It was wooden against this gold plated behemoth, it wouldn't be long until it was cleaved of snapped under pressure. It truly was an irritating handicap, though there was little he could do about it. Orders were orders, and orders were to entertain the master.

It pressed against the side of his wooden weapon, and he thought quickly. He was trying to approach and was moving quickly, almost lunging at Kohle, he was determined to eliminate the spear's natural advantage over the sword. Still this was a sword technique, the man probably didn't have much experience in the way of fighting a spearman, let along fighting in the first place. He wanted to either get up close, or have him disengage and leaving his self open for a follow up strike. Neither option was too impressive, atleast from Kohle's perspective.

The man didn't seem to be trying to push his weapon away, instead he was holding it against his blade so Kohle couldn't surprise and confuse him with a flurry of stabs. Kid knew his theory, that's for sure. His spear reached longer then the broadsword, but if he lunged it would only give him a chance to close in. So, in theory, the best thing for him to do would be to pull back... He toyed with the thought of suddenly switching up on the boy, using his technique as an advantage and turning his spear into an impromptu staff by reversing it, but... he decided against it.

Redfield wanted him to go easy, so he decided to pull back. He disengaged the blade and made a short back dash, away but also leaving his self open. Besides, he was curious what this kid was aiming for.

[Solomon Guidaire]

This was Solomon's chance. The man had left an opening while backing away, and the teacher fully intended to make use of it. He'd held back from using the true attributes of the weapon till now: The blade's disproportionate weight. Now he released a full strike, sweeping the blade horizontally towards the man's armored mid-section. It couldn't match the leverage that a spear gave, but it sure outmatched any other sword of it's type. That was why it had been used so many years ago.

Sol was beginning to get winded. He could go on for a good while yet, but if this continued much longer, he'd have to be more conservative in his efforts. His opponent was good, probably better than all the members of his normal sparring group. The only thing that had saved him from an early defeat, he realized, was that the wood was easier to turn aside. That, and he was beginning to expect his opponent was holding back from his true potential.

[Kohle]

Hrm, a blow to the chest. He backed up a bit more, but stayed close enough for the blade to graze his armor. Partially because he was open and it was hard to avoid any damage, but also because he was specifically aiming to just minimize the damage rather then avoiding it. He wanted to be able to show his master the marks left in his steel so that he may judge the blade's quality better. Indeed it left a deep slash mark, a deep scratch with bits of gold rubbed off into it. The weapon was gaudy, but still capable of leaving a good blow, that was good.

Still, he staggered back with the force of the hit. Even if the hit was minor, it still hurt the subhuman.

"Hrm... I like what I see so far." Redfield mused from afar, watching the battle with great glee. "Kohle. I allow you to step things up, I want to see how this swordsman deals with pressure." He called with a deep smile.

"As you wish Master Redfield." He turned to the swordsman, Sol his name was, and held the lance with the butt touching the ground. He moved faster then before, but instead of remaining on the ground he leapt high into the air. Ground combat, it was not his forte, he excelled in the sky. He jumped from place to place, to the left, then to the right. He held his lance backhanded as he moved, keeping it out of his way as his body went through the air.

He jumped to the left of the fighter, and the second he touched the ground he jumped higher then ever, twirling the spear in hand. At the top of his jump his voice boomed. "Falling spear!" He came crashing to the earth, weapon extended toward the man.

Sol grinned at the strike. It wasn't a particularly skilled one, but it just felt good to have such a solid hit. Shouldn't do much more than a bruise to his opponent either. That was good.

The Baron was pleased, apparently. That was another good thing. Unfortunately. it was also a bad thing. Now, Sol was going to have to fight an even more aggressive Kohle, and was just a bit more than the young swordsman had bargained for. No time left to think now. Kohle was proving to be one who excelled at acrobatics, not something the Solomon was ready for.

The moment before it happened, he realized what was coming. Kohle was up, and the spear was coming down with him. Sol had no armor, wasn't fast enough to move away, and wasn't strong enough to block it. Thought stopped, and transformed into pure need. Rooted to his spot, the amateur tried something he'd only seen managed a few times before. He side-slipped the downward thrust.

His stance was wide, low, and stable, as he twisted his body as much out of the path of the strike as he could. His blade angled upward, and held in tight to the body. He only just managed to avoid the point, but still felt the impact and successive hits from the gouges he'd put in the staff. It was enough to shake him loose of his position, and nearly knock him to his knees. Adrenaline kicked in as he felt the hit, and action replaced thought once again.

He was practically right next to the spearman now, and wouldn't last much longer, not after that hit. He did something. He stood up, hard and fast, driving the part of the blade near the handle into the side of the helmet. It wasn't going to cut in, and if the armor was as sturdy as it looked it probably wouldn't even crumple too much, but it would leave this man's head ringing, and that was enough for the moment.

[Kohle]

The teacher barely evaded the falling strike, good. That could of gotten nasty otherwise, it may only be a sharp piece of wood, but that's more then enough to kill a man. But... this is what master Redfield desired, so it was what Kohle did. The spearhead crashed into the earth near the man, but the brunt of the attack was dodged. The tip of the spear stuck neatly into the earthen floor, the force of the attack pushed the wood beyond where wood would usually break.

The boy looked rough, exhausted, he's probably never done anything outside of sparring. Never a full on battle like the one he was experiencing right now, Kohle couldn't ignore the pang of guilt he felt, but he didn't act on it. His body moved fluidly, the kid was trying to counter with his own strike. It was a heavy blow upwards, probably aimed for Kohle's head... This helmet was a gift for him by his master 20 years ago, he wouldn't allow this little skirmish to tarnish it.

He moved swiftly, reorienting his body and twisting around the pole stuck in the earth. The blade rushed forwards and hit thin air, and with a swift tug the half-elf ripped the spear out of the earth, turning it in his hand as it grew free of its dirt trap. He grabbed onto it aggressively, and looked towards the weakened fighter. He could probably end this now, if he so desired. That is to say, if he threatened his master's life he would of died a while ago.

He bent his knees, preparing to take to the skies once more, but was stopped by a voice of reason. "Kohle, that's enough." His master decreed. "I've seen enough to inform my decision." He added with a nod. Kohle bowed his head to the tired swordsman and turned, walking back towards his master.

"Sir Deek... I am thoroughly impressed with both your weapon and your champion" The baron began, twirling a strand of gold hair around his finger. "Sol, was it?" He turned to the swordsman. "Half-elf, take care of him." His head snapped over to Alexis, whom nodded hesitantly. Rushing over to the tired swordsman's body, a cool aura surrounded the woman of elven lineage, she said something but it was too quiet to really make out. A rush of healing magic came over the man's body, though Kohle was unsure how well it would make him feel.

"I'll be buying the sword Sir Deek." It was unquestionable, the good Baron had mellowed out significantly. Then again he just watched and entertaining fight, that always put him in a good mood. "Sol... When you're feeling up to it... I have something I wish to discuss with you. I find myself with a free day as I've found my perfect weapon ahead of schedule." He turned his hazel gaze towards the teacher, with a much kinder smile then the sadistic grin he had before.
